Tidy up your tack room, float, or stables with the ultimate organiser: our Magnetic Bridle Hook. Designed and 3D printed right here in Australia, this clever hook is fitted with a powerful neodymium magnet that securely attaches to any steel metal surface—no tools, no fuss.

At approx. 116mm x 101mm x 91mm, the custom design includes two hooks, giving you more storage than similar single-hook models. It’s strong enough for bridles, halters, leads, and grooming bags—and portable enough to move wherever you need it.

Add your horse's name, rider's name, property name or something cheeky (we don’t judge 😉). Each magnetic bridle hook is 3D printed to order, so it’s practical, good-looking, and uniquely yours.

We take pride in the strength and design of our Personalised Magnetic Bridle Hooks. Each hook is fitted with powerful N52 neodymium magnets rated with a pull force of nearly 60kg, capable of supporting up to 15kg — depending on the type and quality of the metal surface. Aluminium is not magnetic.

Note: Surface colour and texture can vary slightly, that's normal with 3D-printed pieces and doesn't affect the product's function or strength. An example is when a glossy filament is used, some areas of the bridle hook may display a slightly matte finish. Please view gallery picture as an example.

Each Magnetic Bridle Hook is custom made in-house and takes approximately 6/7hrs to create. Personalised orders may take 7-14 days to create and maybe slightly longer during busy periods.

Quick tip: if you're using your hook on the outside of a float or truck, pop a small piece of chux or cloth between the hook and the vehicle. The magnets are strong, so if you slide the hook off rather than tilting it away, it can scratch the surface. A little buffer stops that.

Understanding How Different Metal Surfaces Affect Magnetic Hold

At Top Paddock, we take pride in the strength and design of our Personalised Magnetic Bridle Hooks. Each hook contains a powerful N52 neodymium magnet with a pull force of nearly 60 kg, capable of supporting up to 15 kg on ideal steel surfaces.

However, not all metals are created equal when it comes to magnetism. The surface you attach your hook to can significantly affect how securely it holds. Here’s a quick guide to help you get the best performance:

1️⃣ Ferromagnetic Metals — The Strongest Hold

Metals such as iron, steel, and nickel are ideal. These materials have high magnetic permeability, meaning they easily allow the magnetic field to pass through them. The result is the strongest and most reliable hold.

Best examples:

Steel barn doors
Wash bay posts
Stable doors and gates (non-aluminium)
Metal float or truck partitions
Steel stable walls and dividers

2️⃣ Stainless Steel — It Depends on the Grade

Stainless steel can vary greatly in how it reacts to magnets. Some grades are magnetic, while others aren’t.

Magnetic stainless steels (like 400-series) work well and provide a solid hold.
Non-magnetic stainless steels (like 300-series with higher nickel content) usually won’t hold a magnet effectively.

3️⃣ Non-Ferromagnetic Metals — Minimal Magnetic Hold

Metals such as aluminium, brass, copper, and zinc are non-ferromagnetic, meaning they won’t attract magnets strongly (or at all). In these cases, your bridle hook’s hold will be much weaker.

Tip: You can still use your hooks by adding a thin steel or ferromagnetic plate to the area where you want to mount the hook — this will enhance the magnetic grip dramatically.

Examples:

Aluminium stable doors or partitions
Brass fittings or trims

🔧 Tips for Best Performance

Keep surfaces clean: Dirt, dust or moisture can reduce the magnet’s hold.
Use thicker metal: Thicker steel or iron surfaces provide a better grip than thin sheets.
Add a steel plate: Great for non-magnetic areas to boost performance.
Slide, don’t pull: When removing your hook, slide it off the surface rather than pulling straight out to protect the magnet and adhesive bond.

Due to variations in coatings, steel quality, and the presence of dirt and dust in stable environments, most users experience an average holding strength of around 8-10 kg — still more than sufficient for tack and everyday gear.

How to Use Your Magnetic Bridle Hook

Choose a suitable surface
Attach the hook to any clean, flat magnetic surface such as metal walls, tack lockers, floats, or stable fittings.
Apply with care
The magnet is extremely strong. Place the hook gently against the surface and allow it to pull itself into position.
Loading the hook
Hang bridles, halters, leads, bags etc evenly across the hooks.
Removing or repositioning
To move the hook, do not pull it straight off.
Where possible, slide the hook sideways to release the magnetic force gradually.
If sliding isn’t possible
Gently tilt the hook from the base upward to break the magnetic seal, then remove. Cup hands on each side of the top part whilst tilting upwards, do not use the knob as a lever.

⚠️ Important:
The magnet is secured with both glue and a reinforcement screw, however due to the strength of the magnet, care must always be taken when removing or repositioning to avoid unnecessary stress on the base.

Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you a confirmation email with tracking information. You'll be able to track your order directly on the carrier's website.

Delays, Loss or Damage of Items
If your order is lost or damaged in transit, please contact Top Paddock Customer Service via email within the 10 business days of placing your order so that we may assist you. Top Paddock are not liable for damaged, lost or stolen property caused by the transport company but we will assist in making a claim through them to have the item replaced.

If a card has been left for you, but the goods have not been collected in 7 days, and as a result returned to us, additional freight charges will apply to re-send the goods.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

We only accept items that have been purchased directly through our online store or in person. Any purchases made through other suppliers must be returned through the purchased source.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

We will email you confirmation of your refund as soon as we receive and check the products. The refund only applies to the returned items. The original shipping costs won't be refunded and the purchaser will be responsible for paying for the return shipping costs. This is also applicable to orders that received free shipping, and an invoice will be sent to cover postage expenses on exchanges. The refundable amount will also exclude any fees incurred through payment systems. All items returned may also incur a 12% restocking fee.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalised items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

We ask that you choose carefully. Exchanges for different sizes will be considered, however not all colours and/or sizes may be available and any postage costs will be at your expense. In addition, Top Paddock reserves the right to charge a handling fee.

We will only accept returns for exchange when the goods are in unused condition, with all tags and labels attached.

We do not accept goods returned on a COD basis – these will be returned to you.

We do not accept any responsibility for goods lost in return transit.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Super useful gadget!

I love this gadget, it is one of the most useful pieces of equipment I have. Like the personalisation too. It’s so good to have a removable hook in the stable. My horses mainly live out and the box is my tack up under cover space, so it’s great I can remove it if I need to keep one in to eliminate the risk of injury. Also super useful to tack up inside the float in wet weather. Will be getting the saddle rack too ♥️
